15 Week Course in Polymer Engineering
Project Objective
Develop knowledge of polymer chemistry and polymer engineering practices under a mechanical engineering lens.
Develop skills in education and course development for instructing in industry and academic environments.
Methodology
The course is broken into 15 weeks.*
The course covers three major sections:
General Chemistry and Polymer Chemistry
Polymer Material Science
Polymer Mechanics
Course Materials
23 lecture presentations
Equates to two 1-1.5 hour lectures per a week (not including weeks for exams, project presentations, or experimental demonstrations)
8 homework assignments
2 exams
1 mid-term exam, 1 final exam
Miscellaneous handouts and 40 references
One end-of-class project
